Guest Teacher’s Biography
Abdiel Cedric Jacobsen
Hustle allows me to express all of my colors. It brings out the various faces of my personality and when I’m dancing in my high heels I am my fullest self. It puts me in a place of vulnerability and sensitivity yet while experiencing power and control all simultaneously. Also, I swap roles of leader and follower when I dance with a partner. This allows us to experience both perspectives of partnering therefore broadening our line of communication.
The NY Hustle community and Hustle community worldwide has celebrated all facets of my personality and has been so welcoming not just to me but everyone that is open to engaging. There is an inclusiveness and acceptance of diversity that I believe is crucial for all social communities to create. This allows for growth and ultimately deeper connection between each other.
